The game takes place in the year 2023, where the future is bleak and grim (is there any other kind?). It is also a time of despair. Animals are being mutilated for no apparent reason, people are being abducted at alarming rates, and the planet seems to have become one giant playground for forces unknown. These events have not gone unnoticed by the Carrington Institute.

Up to four players can play the Challenge Mode, and each contest can be played four times (with one, two, three and four players). ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

You better have an expansion pack.
, September 6, 20022 of 3 Yahoo! Users found this Perfect Dark review helpful This game is awesome. It is one of the best shooters ever, so you should definitely buy it. You better have an expansion pack though, and if you don't, buying an expansion pack with this game is essential. Without the expansion pack, you can't play single-player mode and will be stuck with just multiplayer, and the single-player game is awesome. Plus with the pack the game will have better graphics. Even though some people without expansion packs might be turned off knowing that they will have to shell out even more money for this game for an expansion pack, but it is totally worth it. BUY THIS GAME AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN EXPANSION PACK! ... -
