Add to this a 6.1 megapixel APS-C size CCD, sensitivity equivalent to ISO 200 to 3200, 2.8 frames per second capture rate for action photography, and a bright, high-precision Penta mirror viewfinder with 0.85X magnification. The sleek, compact body design with a high-rigidity stainless-steel chassis offers convenient SD media Card storage and High Speed USB 2.0 data transfer and operates on AA batteries, 2CR-V3 lithium batteries, or optional AC adapter.

    Great camera for a great price!

    Pros: Inexpensive, great picture quality and easy to use.

    Cons: White balance indoors a little funky

    After shopping for a couple of months I decided that most cameras at the price point I was looking at were all pretty much the same with each having its own niche they fill. I compared the Nikon D40, Pentax K100D and K110D. For the price, the K110D w...as a steal! The reason I chose the Pentax over the Nikon was because lens selection for the Nikon was very limited for autofocus. Also, I prefer using AA batteries as opposed to a rechargeable integrated battery. That is a personal prefferrence though. The lens selection is amazing for the Pentax, I was able to find lenses that fit my camera at the local pawn shop for a fraction of the cost of a new lens. I went from a decent point and shoot which took phenominal pictures to the K110D and let me tell you, although I will never get rid of my point and shoot, I certainly don't regret spending almost as much on the dslr as I did on the point and shoot. Overall, if you are wanting to get into dslr and don't want to spend the 800-1100 for a Nikon D80, this is THE place to start. Read more Less

    Pros: 2.5 inch screen, AA Batteries, Picture Quality, Price

    Cons: Awkard menu, Proprietary USB Cable, Small memory buffer

    Put this camera up against a Nikon D40 and Canon XT and this one did almost everything better in almost every category. There are tons of lenses out there for this camera also. great price!
