Pros: Fast, Light, Easy to use

    Cons: none

Just moved from the Pentax *ist DL and its the best thing I have ever done... The*ist was slow to focus sometimes the K110D is lightening fast well worth changing. The K110D is lighter than the *ist but the casing doesn't seem as good quality (on...ly a little, nothing to worry about). I expect this model will shoot up the ratings when people try it, remember its the same as the K100D but without the image stableiser and that model is in 1st place! Forget canon and nikon... you dont need 10 megapixels unless you prining something the size of the mona lisa! Read more Less

Pros: Removable lens, manual settings, macro settings, digital filters ... I can't say enough

Cons: It's a large camera and has a substantial heft to it ... if you are looking for a compact, this is not the camera for you.

For the past ten years I have been using and loving my Pentax K1000 camera. This is the only camera that I really knew how to use, although I also have a Nikon SLR and a Rolleicord. Then I got my Digital SLR, and coming from a film purist, this is th...e best camera that I have ever used. Bar non. If you are nervous about digital and want to still have the feel and comfort of an SLR, this is a fantastic camera. This camera is compatable with all Pentax lense, new and old. The specialty shooting options, such as sunset, snow, candle light, and text are fantastic. The menus are very easy to navigate and are extremely user friendly. There is also a manual focus option that you can use while still keeping the camera in fulling automatic mode ... which comes in handy when using the macro setting. Although the camera is on the heavy side, for someone used to using manuals, it feels normal to me. I would suggest getting a great memory card, at least 1gig, and investing in rechargable batteries ... you will need them! This camera is worth the money, if you are looking for a good Digital SLR. OK camera for a hobbyist photographer

Pros: good quality images, very good on-camera flash, big LCD, high ISO (3200).

Cons: flimsy and breakable, feels like plastic, needs a lot of care, autowhite balance doesn't work so well.

Only buy this camera if you plan on taking extreme care of it, because it's not very durable. Otherwise, you could probably do great things with it; I know I have until some of my carelessness. It finally broke when it decided that any SD card I ...put in it would appear locked in the camera, where in reality it was not. Read more Less
