Tim Burton's directorial debut, a story of a man-boy who has lost his prized possesion and will go to any length to retrieve it. Hilarious at times, filled with quirky characters and clever dialogue. I wanted to rate this 3.5 stars, but it's ...better than a 3, so. I would have apprecited a bit more realism (to offset the surreal) and there are a few places I think they could have tightened things up. Clearly, Burton learned from this movie, as these mistakes were not to be made again (on this scale anyway). Worth seeing. Read more Less

mayb this not the wosrt movei Vinny B watch last week, but it must be cloes. This guy in a grey suit make som crazee mess evrewhere - that shiot was not evne funny one bit. that the guy who they said was likin on those childrene. Vinny B nevre unders...tab that shiot, so why they evne show this movie on here. why u askin me on that? I think that fat guy probly say thumb dowbn on this, and Vinny B undrestand on that! this is an awosome movie.if you love pee-wee you will definatly apperciate this movie.I do like the 30 minute episodes better because they are a little bit more child friendly.This is a great movie for the family.

that doesn't like this movie. One of my favorite films when I was kid, and I love it even more now. The bar scene is classic "I say you let him go" . If you haven't seen it yet, buy it now you won't be disappointed.

Tim Burton's first full length feature, and it is hilarious and very fast-paced. There isn't a hint of the crude and obnoxious antics that mark virtually all present day wide release comedies. The score is fantastic, too.

What a funny and surreal movie!

This is the one movie that my 2 year old daughter will watch start to finish, and she has all the Barney, Disney, sing-a-long videos ever made. That's how I know this is a great flick.
Try it on your own young 'uns - you'll see! Non-stop fun!
