    Pros: Great Modern Version of Film Noir

    Cons: No sequel

    If people wanted a synopsis they would click over to the dvd info. This film is Film Noir. If you don't like a little mystery, a main character who walks around beating the crap out of everyone, gets the crap beat out of himself, and a female tha...t shoots him in the back, then this is not the movie for you.     Smooth as Silk

    Smooth as silk is the best descriptive of this interesting and diverse film. Mel Gibson is at his tongue-in-cheek best and his supporting cast never faulters either. Lucy Liu is at her sexiest as a dominatrix and general "bad girl." Lord ha...ve mercy! To see her alone is worth the price. Read more Less

    Mel Gibson is great as a true bad guy that is awfully hard to hate. I enjoyed it, but it made my toes ache.

    with some twists and turns, and complete with internal inconsistencies. It really points out Hollywood's abysmal lack of originality and enthusiasm for rehash. Interesting portrayal of the sordid side of crime, too often romanticized in movies.

    Watching Mel endure this much pain in this film made me cringe everytime they smashed is toes w/ the sledgehammer. Great film and awesome ending.

    This movie was fantastic. The style in which it was filmed fit the story perfectly. It was gritty fun from beginning to end. Long live the stunt man!

    Mel Gibson does a fantastic job of portraying Porter, a man bent on revenge and who risks his life a great number of times for $70,000. An excellent movie, but not the best film in which Mel Gibson has ever starred.
