Started off as a decent movie that kept you interested, but the end was a flop. It gave you hope that there was a way to change the world for the best. Haley Joel Osmont did wonderful making you believe that there was a plan to effectively change t...he world. Sadly though, hope turned into tragedy when he was brutally stabbed and ended up dying. As before, it brought you hope and then let you down at the end by killing off the one great thing which was Haley Joel Osmont. Read more Less

Pros: Fantastic for all ages

Cons: It will bring tears to an old women

It is something that we all forget is that it takes courage to be a friend. This movie portraits courage and love the act of giving ones self out of that desire to change the world. I can truly see the hand of God in this movie. Good and Bad all arou...nd us but it just takes one to change the world. Haley Joel Osment (Trevor,) tremendous young child actor convining and authentic in his part of a 11 year old boy with vision. Motivated by pain he seeks to change the world and does not give up. Wonderful movie for all ages. Teaching the value of one and how one person can change the World. When we think we can we will. Read more Less

Pros: acting, script, story

Cons: a little raw sometimes

This movie came soon after the masterwork AMERICAN BEAUTY. It seemed to go unnoticed. However, I DID notice it! The movie fulfilled my expectations, SPACEY, HUNT and OSMENT´s acting was superb and the whole movie was food for thoughts and also quite... moving. The saddest part is when the kid gets killed, a raw reminder of the REAL WORLD, IT IS NOT A FAIRY TALE. Read more Less

Maybe it is a little manipulatively touching, a little blatantly heartwarming, as some critics had said with wrinkled noses, but is that so bad? I can't for the life of me understand how anyone could watch this movie and not be a better person for it..., nevermind feel INDIFFERENT afterwards, which is worst of all.
