Paul Mantee

Smooth, suave American general purpose actor Paul Mantee played the leading role in his first film, the superior sci-fier ">They Shoot Horses Don't They, ">Helter Skelter). Mantee wrote several amusing TV Guide articles about the peripatetic existence of the journeyman actor, once toting up a list of the lines he'd spoken most often (topping the charts was "I don't want to hurt you, but I will if have to").
