    STOP!! Stop whatever you're doing right

    ...and go buy this DVD. What say you? You don't have a DVD player? Ok, no problem - THEN GO OUT AND BUY ONE!! Forget about the light bill, the gas bill, whatever. If you consider yourself a Patti fan or even a connoisseur of fine wines, women, an...d song then you must hear what this woman, her background singers and band do during this live video recording. And when I say fine women and song, I do mean FINE! women and FINE! song. In this day and age of being able to project practically anybody's voice through computers and fancy digital equipment to create an "illusion" of talent, it's nice to know folks like Patti (and select others from her era) still can put all these gold and platinum-selling so-called superstars of today to shame with just their voices and an attitude. Remember how you used to as a kid create those whacked-out scenarios with your friends about who would win in a "fight" between certain powerhouse singers? Well, Patti and her band do a medley at the beginning of the video and include some of Aretha's popular recordings in it. Hmmm...Patti vs. Aretha. After hearing Patti's abridged version of 'Oh Me Oh My (I'm a Fool for You Baby) I've give Patti a T.K.O. in the 7th round, baby!!!! And this is just the beginning! There's still an hour more of music left and, believe me, it gets better...much better! I'd love to go on but these Yahoo! guys might think I'm some kind of crazed fan or something!! So run- no, rush!- no, break a few land speed records why don't 'cha and pick this one up!! You won't regret it. Read more Less

    Heard through the grapevines Patti recently got a divorce. I'd like to meet the guy who would leave or let someone like Patti go!! After checking this DVD out, there is no question in my mind there is no equal...anywhere! Getting back to her ex, I... mean, like where do you go from here?? After Patti? It doesn't really matter because it's all gonna be downhill!! This women's style, her musical timing, her phrasing...everything's just pure perfection. Throw in amazing band members (check out the 2 female background singers) and a guest appearance by the then newcomer "saxtress" herself - Pamela Williams - and you've got a DVD that'll undoubtedly - despite manufacturer claims - wear thin from being played again and again and again!!
