Known as Pat Smear while he was with L.A.'s legendary Germs, guitarist Pat RuthenSmear (born George Ruthenberg) recorded a solo album for SST under his modified sobriquet in 1988; it featured several prominent guest lyricists and musicians, including DC3 keyboardist Paul Roessler. RuthenSmear subsequently recorded two albums with an acoustic side project called Death Folk, and then reverted to his punk-era name for a 1992 album entitled So You Fell in Love With a Musician, which featured Death...
