The older brother of Joe La Barbera (drummer with Bill Evans during 1978-1980) and arranger/trumpeter John La Barbera, Pat has been a fixture in Toronto since moving to Canada in 1974. He played in a family band early on, attended Berklee (1964-1967), and gained recognition for his exciting solos with Buddy Rich's big band (1967-1973).
