Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills (1996)

A chilling, hypnotic documentary unlike

Originally aired on HBO in 1996, this documentary is so absolutely riveting that it actually changed the course of the trial it was covering. After seeing it for the first time almost four years ago I am still obsessed with this case and it's ruling.... Did Damien, Jason, and Jesse, three "metalhead" teens murder and mutilate three eight year old boys in the woods of Arkansas in 1993? Or did a strongly religious, southern community and a police force pressured to find a suspect, label these teens satan worshipers simply for the dark clothes they wore and the music that they listened to. To be honest, I'm still not sure. This trial was overshadowed when it occured by some guy named O.J. So whether you are familiar with the case or not I strongly, strongly recommend watching this film. You won't be able to get it out of your head.
