COLDPLAY SUCKS
THEY REALLY REALLY SUCK DICK
THEY ARE ABOUT AS
Pure and simply gorgeous, smooth music...Coldplay is by far one of the best bands ever, IMO. I recommend this to everyone. Hope you all enjoy it just as much as I do. Again, wonderful!!
Su mùsica misteriosa cautiva hasta el pùblico màs exigente de verdad que es un gran grupo
I thought this album is perfect for a nice warm sunday or nightly a drive in the forest or along the beach. the melodies are diverse, from dreamy(Sparks)to frantic and skittering(Shiver). the lyrics are well written, not turning to old love cliches, but making their own damn cliches! It can be repetitive and it threatens to slide into monotony, but these lapses are few and far in between. A sweet and beautiful album.
I love this album with a passion. No matter what mood I'm in, I can allways listen to this album. Their music is just so rich and full of texture some songs I think you could obtain nutrition from them.
This album has a good sound to it. The music is very mellow and relaxing but sometimes a little boring. They have to make ALL their song decent before it can be considered a good CD.
..about everything. What it means to be human, love and its often quick retreat, perils of success, the right to think of better places than where you are, and the urgent sense of youth are captured on Parachutes. The beauty of this album is that it is exactly precise on the issues it presents. Coldplay is not trying to be different...they just are. The best thing overall about this remarkable musical achievement is that it dares to be simple. With so many bands attempting to capture a new sound or new musical genre, Parachutes keeps all of its cats hidden in the bag. Soft, melodic...this piece of work never keeps us guessing. We know what to expect and we are perfectly pleased...and sad when its over.
TOP TRACKS? - So hard..."We Never Change" is the perfect song for loss of innocence. "Sparks" is a simple love song that hits sweetness and the pain of loving someone just right (pretty much every love song on this one does that). I'd have to say if it came down to one it would be "Everything's Not Lost"- What can you say about this song? Its perfect for any moment, at any time, in any point of life. SO is the album.
Perfect is the only word to describe Coldplay's 2000 album, "Parachutes". What makes it so damn perfect is the genuine emotion that is shown in the songs, from the beautiful opener "Don't Panic" to the heart wrenching "Trouble". Chris Martin's sings with such a genuine feeling that you don't even care how high-pitched the voice gets. These guys are awesome. To paraphrase "Don't Panic", with Coldplay around we live in a beautiful world indeed. PERFECT.
this album is incredible. it shows how the band had invested their times in every single song. Every song in this ablum was carefully written and produced.
It really worths as the Grammy Award Winning Album.
I can't believe how much this album has grown on me. It is now my favorite, always in my car, sing along album of all time! Keep it up, boys!
you can't hate coldplay! :)
The melody of the songs is so great, when you are listening the songs, you will feel something.
New to the American scene is Coldplay, a band scooted over US way just recently with their number one (in the UK) album, "Parachutes".
The fact that the group's members all hail from the UK and were all around 15 years old when Radiohead's breakthrough album "Pablo Honey" hit the US in 1993 stings this album cold. Coldplay seems another once-indie band whose inspiration runs only as far as the nearest music store, where the members can all purchase, listen to, and milk the next critically acclaimed Radiohead album.
Putting all this aside, the album can well enough stand on its own merit. The melodies are wondrously composed and the somber ambience conjured is often times hypnotic. The lyrics are just as good. Usually cryptic, simple, and frail, the lyrics to the songs of "Parachutes" are poetry. And the vocals carry this poetry to great limits, ranging from a tearful mellow note to a passionate chorus.
So, all in all, if you've listened to Radiohead in the past, this newer manifestation of that band, although enjoyable, will anger you with its imitation product, but leave you smiling nonetheless: half a smile from liking the album's sound; half a smile from laughing at Coldplay's effort to create a Radiohead-level album. For those of you who have never heard Radiohead before, you will enjoy the mellow tones, beautiful lyrics, gentle melodies and powerful vocals of "Parachutes". But, I'm sure you'd enjoy the mellow tones, beautiful lyrics, gentle melodies, and powerful vocals of "The Bends", "OK Computer", "Kid A", and "Amnesiac" a whole lot more.
I really enjoyed the album, you should listen to every song on there. Trouble is a very good song. And the haterz shouldn't belong in here if you gonna hate on Coldplay. They do got a funny name...COLDPLAY!!
when is ur 2nd album comin' out??? i freakin' love it! i love it 2 death!! i dig, 'shiver' 2 much! :)lolol
this is a chill album. my favorite songs are yellow, shiver, sparks and don't panic. everyone says they sound like radiohead, but the difference is that coldplay puts it out on the table, and radiohead likes to speak in almost code language and assume that people know what they're talking about. gorillaz are much more like radiohead, and coldplay is probably more like the slower beatles songs
This album is one of those ones that you hear a song from it, and you get attached to it for a while, then you check out some more, and then you decide if you wanna buy it.
Me myself personally I downloaded the whole album and burned it and listened to a couple songs for about a week until I actaully listened to the other ones. Then today I bought it.
I must admit, I'm a metal head. Among my favorite bands are Staind, Sevendust, Deftones, KoRn, and Mudvayne, but for some reason I dig certain lighter bands. But they have to have a certain unexplainable quality. Jim Croce, REM, and David Gray all fit in this category of light artists I dig. Coldplay fits in very well. I'd say they're probably my favorite non-heavy artist out there.
If you're into lighter stuff, or even heavy music, check out this band. (Cause no matter how much they deny it, every metal maniac has a soft side)
At first, my friend made me download sparks, and i thought it was an ok song. then i downloaded yellow and trouble, and now i own the album, thats how good it is. It convienced me to go out and buy it becuase it is that good of an album.
