Amazing Panasonic (North NJ)

I bought this TV on Black Friday 07 for $1000 @ 6th Ave. I will never buy a better product for a cheaper price. The picture, sound and screen size are amazing. I had a 96' Sony CRT TV, which is a huge upgrade, the plasma is unbelievable. The moment I hooked up the TV up, I ran the channel scanner, and it scans all analog, digital and HD channel available. The TV will get all channels available in HD or non-HD. No need for an Antenna. The Sound is amazing; I have a Bose system, no need to hook up to the TV. The cables are easy to hook up. This TV is worth at least $2500. If you can you should go for it. Best of luck.

I'd love to be reviewing the product now but I don't have it yet! TigerDirect was unable to authorize the credit card purchase (our credit card company put TigerDirect on hold due to fraudelent charges reported by other credit card holders) and TigerDirect didn't bother to notify us. So on our promised delivery date 8 days later we have no TV and just discovered why.

Pros: Image like everything promised in HD. Sound system on 600U better than expected.
Cons: Silver base and trim are dated but the picture is outstanding. The 1999. price made it time to go plasma.
For three years I spent hours trolling video stores and reading A/V magazines about DLP, LCD, Plasma. Finally determined that the plasma color image was the way to go. The quality/price conflict was settled by going Panasonic. The 60U is an odd design of silver plates. The 600U is a slicker design with good sound. I tried to hold out for the all black '07 Panasonic trimmed units but the low price was too tempting. A local vendor delivered it, attached the base and set up the remote up for fifty bucks. Upgraded my Directv to HD and discovered they give you a bunch of HD channels that have you up watching nature shows on crawlng bugs or Sunrise Earth at 3AM. The next step is a monster sound system. DVDs play great with a $150 Sony DVD player with an HDMI feed. Followed the recommendations to prevent plasma burn-in and this has not been a problem.

I have seen several Panasonic Th-50PX600U being an installer that works for http://hdinstallers.com. The picture quality is good, customer are very satisfied with it. Out of the box very little needs to be adjusted for screen quality.
The silver bezel is very 1970. They should come out with different colors for customer to choose from. The remote is very 1980 to many buttons, no clear direction. Need bigger buttons, with sleeker design and better way to program it.Was this review helpful? Yes - NoGreat HDTV
Pros: incredible picture
Cons: cheapish remote
The picture is deep and rich. Incredible claity. Got a great price on it at a major store so don't have to worry if something goes wrong with it. Have about 30 hd channels on satellite and they are worth the extra 10 bucks. Sound is broadcast in 5:1 but get the extra speakers if you want it's full effect. the remote is cheapish but if you have satellite you use the satellite remote. Great HDTV. Oh yeh, don't get ripped off by stores that offer to have some tech come out and adjust your tv for $300. The color out of the box is wonderful. I have heard stories from others that they ruin the original factory tuned color.
