Pros: Great picture - concierge support

    Cons: none

I couldn't be happier with my choice. I researched a lot of manf - both Plasma and LCD and setteled on the Plasma for big picture and sports viewing. I opted for the professional installation and setup - the tech made sure everything was working ...properly before he left. Views are great from all angles. You don't need to be directly in front of set to see a crisp picture. I did have a couple of general questions about the display and settings. I called the concearge service desk who were very helpful. Hosted a get together with friends to watch the big games this weekend. One of whom was impressed enough to go out on Sunday and buy a set. Pros: Great Sound and Picture

    Cons: NONE

Got mine about 4 months ago from Panasonic Direct. I love mine so far. I just have basic cable right now but will soon have high-def. The basic cable picture image is excellent. Can't wait to see the high-def image. I have an s-video hook up to m...y dvd and it is awsome! Image quality superb. DOn't doubt my purchase at all. Recommended to all. Read more Less

    Panasonic TH-42PX600U

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jan 4, 2007 | 15 out of 17 found this Panasonic TH-50PX600U review helpful

Pros: Easy to use, good sound, good picture

Cons: No 2nd ANT input, Forgets TV Guide Info

I actually have the 42 inch version which featurewise is the same as the 50 inch. The TV is great, however if you like the picture to be the proper shape, you need to adjust the aspect ratio. It would be nice if it would automatically recognize th...e aspect of what is transmitted and remember your settings for that condition. Also the TV Guide is nice, but it's slow to respond and should have a memory backup as it looses info if there is any loss of power. It then takes 24 hours to regain that info. Read more Less

    Panasonic plasma TH-50PX600U

Pros: technically superior, great color, resolution and sound

Cons: price, maybe...backside connection difficult on permanent wall-mount

I've owned mine for 6 months, and I got what I paid for. Superior performance in every way. I should have used the swing-out wall-mount, though. But, that can be changed for a couple hundred bucks. The HD is so much better than the DLP or LCD..., that my friends who own those, come here to watch the "big game". You can pay less, but you'll get less. The picture is ultra-sharp, colors are breath-taking, and the angular range of vision doesn't "grey-out" at any angle. If you buy anything less....don't ever look at the screen of a friend's Panasonic plasma....you'll be sorry. Read more Less

    Love Television

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 8, 2007 | 7 out of 10 found this Panasonic TH-50PX600U review helpful

    Pros: Panasonic TH-50PX600U

Cons: High quality & resolution - Clearly & real sound

The realism of a TV's image is strongly linked to its contrast ratio, and this plasma features a high contrast ratio of up to 10,000: 1. Such a wide range from black to white means great depth and dimensionality with vibrant colors - and this pla...sma can display an incredible 29 billion colors for a superior picture. Deep blacks provide excellent shadow detail during dark scenes, while brilliant whites allow Panasonic plasmas to render bright scenes with vivid realism. Read more Less

Pros: Image Quality, Ease of use

    Cons: Heavy, Aspect Ratios

I researched many plasmas and LCD's before settling on this model. I actually wanted the 58" but it would fit the space I had to mounted it in. The features, image quality, and price showed this was the best HDTV for the money. As... another reviewer stated, the aspect ratio's should automatically adjust to the picture size broadcast, but it's easy to change. I can't review the sound since I don't use the speakers on the TV. All in all a great plasma set Read more Less

    What a Picture

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 16, 2007 | 2 out of 2 found this Panasonic TH-50PX600U review helpful

    Pros: Amazing picture

    Cons: none

I bought my 50" plasma from bestbuyplasma for $2000.00 in December 2006. So I have had it for a few months and I love the picture. Ordered it from Bestbuyplasma and they delivered it without a hitch. Set up was easy, got a HD DVR from Direct TV ...and the picture is amazing. We watched the movie "Winged Migration" on Discovery and it was like the birds were in the house. Great value Read more Less

    Pros: Good price

    Cons: Credit card authorization/shipping problems

I'd love to be reviewing the product now but I don't have it yet! TigerDirect was unable to authorize the credit card purchase (our credit card company put TigerDirect on hold due to fraudelent charges reported by other credit card holders) a...nd TigerDirect didn't bother to notify us. So on our promised delivery date 8 days later we have no TV and just discovered why. Read more Less

    Plasma Venture

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 24, 2007 | 1 out of 1 found this Panasonic TH-50PX600U review helpful

Pros: Image like everything promised in HD. Sound system on 600U better than expected.

Cons: Silver base and trim are dated but the picture is outstanding. The 1999. price made it time to go plasma.

For three years I spent hours trolling video stores and reading A/V magazines about DLP, LCD, Plasma. Finally determined that the plasma color image was the way to go. The quality/price conflict was settled by going Panasonic. The 60U is an odd desig...n of silver plates. The 600U is a slicker design with good sound. I tried to hold out for the all black '07 Panasonic trimmed units but the low price was too tempting. A local vendor delivered it, attached the base and set up the remote up for fifty bucks. Upgraded my Directv to HD and discovered they give you a bunch of HD channels that have you up watching nature shows on crawlng bugs or Sunrise Earth at 3AM. The next step is a monster sound system. DVDs play great with a $150 Sony DVD player with an HDMI feed. Followed the recommendations to prevent plasma burn-in and this has not been a problem. This is not your old CTR. Read more Less
