    The little camera that could!

Pros: Fast, great image clarity, IMAGE STABILIZATION! Great battery life with NiMH, useful scene modes.

Cons: No on-camera sound output with video playback, LCD screen is kinda low-res,

I love this camera. I've had quite a few 'point-and-shoot' digital cameras over the years from several different makers (Canon, Nikon, Sony, Casio) and while I enjoyed immensely each and every camera, I must say that this camera is the be...st that I've ever owned. My last camera was a Canon PowerShot A530 (5MP) that I absolutely adored. After seeing some photos from the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ7 on Flickr, I knew I had to have one. I really wanted a 6x zoom and image stabilization but not to spend more than $200. This camera delivers great results and it won't break the bank. I'm not a professional photographer but I know what looks good. Another thing is that this camera is easy to use. The menus are logical and the modes are easily learned. This camera feels very sturdy in your hands. It doesn't feel cheap at all and has just the right mount of weight. I love the compartments. Battery, SD card, and USB have all separate compartments. I hate having to worry about batteries falling out when I change my SD card. The compartment doors are very sturdy and they don't feel horribly fragile either. They're not just hardened rubber like on a lot of other cameras. It may seem like a small thing but to me it's the small touches that make this camera so great. Speaking of small things, there's one gripe I have. You can watch the video playback on the camera but there is no sound while viewing on the camera. Speaking of video, this camera takes GREAT video! The video comes out very clear and the microphone picks up sounds well but doesn't seem to pick up noise. One more thing though, once you zoom while taking video it's fixed when you start recording. But that's really a minor thing IMHO. Look up the photos this camera takes on Flickr. Results are what matters, not reviews, right? All I can say is I'm very happy with this camera and for the price range it cannot be beat in quality and features. Good luck! Read more Less

    AWESOME CAMERA

Pros: ggooooooooooooodd pictures, quick start-up, lots of features, excellent for novice or expert!

Cons: buttons are a bit small

I have had a good number of cameras, from SLR's to point-and-shoots. I know photography and it is a little hobby of mine. This is the best camera I have ever had, period. It is very light and small, but it packs enough power to kill the bi...g dogs. The black body color looks really cool, too. Seven megapixels is just enough for my needs, more than enough for most. The screen has enough clarity to work in direct sunlight. And a GREAT price to top it off. Read more Less
