I have had the LX3 for a week now and taken 500 shots with it. This camera has an outstanding 24mm equivalent wide angle to 60mm normal zoom lens. It is a fast 2.0 to 2.8 apeture and has good stabilization. If you need or love wide angle low light p...hotography this camera is for you. If you want or need a tele and want this quality of a point and shoot a Canon G10 would be a better choice. The G10 now has a 28mm focal length so it also does wide angle much better than it used to. The picture quality has been very satisfactory. It has RAW. There are ISO speeds of 1600 and over available but the noise gets bad. The camera allows you to set a maximum ISO that the camera will pick. I recommend 800. All of this fits in an all metal body that easily fits in a shirt pocket. The lens cap is a detachable clip on that does get in the way. The 3" viewing screen has a very good level of detail.
