    Good for first timer

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 30, 2004

Pros: Everything for a point & shoot camera

Cons: Flash problem and need a lot of batteries

As a whole, this is consider as a good digital camera for a first time user. I have done a lot of survey, and I even asked the shop promoters. They recommended this camera rather than the Canon A70 under this budget. They said that the Leica lense is way much better than the others. As for myself, I found this camera is very user-friendly and the picture quality is very good.

The only concern is the flash problem. Sometimes, it's just not enough for the night scene. Another minor problem is this camera needs a lot of batteries. So, be prepared before you go for any trip.

Try for Digital ? Go for this

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 16, 2004

    Pros: Value for money

    Cons: Poor flash

I am a professional photographer and looking for a good handy digital camera. One of my friend suggested this and I boldly tried it. To my surprise, I am fully satisfied about it quality(because normally i won't compromise on quality). I am into service like heeling chornic diseases. So, I need and it really fit into my budget.

Where ever I carry, people really love it and wants to have for them too.

I sincerely advice you that you can blindly go behind it. Because Leica is the best lens, i ever seen. Enjoy it with great pictures.

    Cons: weak flash

This is one of the best cameras i have seen in this price range. The photos are so clear. It's hard to believe it's a digital point and shoot. I highly recommend this camera.

    Great buy for a beginner

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jan 20, 2004

    Pros: Value for money

    Cons: no comment

Its great to have a very user friendly camera especially for a beginner like myself.I like the features which are easy to understand and of course the Leica lens that helps alot. The weakness is the battery. By using the alkaline battery, it runs flat quite frequent only after 30 shots. So its recommended to get a rechargeable battery at least with 1200mah. This will helps alot. So, enjoy it!!

Good Pictures at a Cheap Price

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Nov 24, 2003 | 5 out of 5 found this Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC33 review helpful

    Pros: Lens, Picture Quality, Price

    Cons: Battery Life, Fully Automatic

I got this camera about 2 months ago and it's great. I take pictures of everything. Image quality is excellent. I recently printed some actual 4x6 photos at Walgreens and the print quality was outstanding. Hard to tell the pictures came from a digital camera.

The only thing I don't like too much is the fact that night shooting is tremendously difficult with the built in flash. I usually set the ISO to about 200 and then I set the camera down where it won't move bedause the shutter stays open for about 3 seconds; depends on how dark it is because it can go all the way up to 8 seconds. The only problem with this is that everything has to remain perfectly still for this amount of time, or else whatever moved will come out blurry.

Overall the camera is great, especially for my wife that basically points and shoots. Oh yeah, I only paid about $300 for the camera, 128 MB SD memory, batteries, and an Epson 825 Photo Printer. Not bad if you ask me!

Excellent Picture quality, small size than Canon A70.

    Great camera!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 25, 2003 | 2 out of 3 found this Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC33 review helpful

Pros: price, features, design, easy to use

    Cons: zoom

I received this as a gift but not before I had already bought a Sony Cybershot DSC-P10... I liked this camera so much I decided to resell my cybershot. Panasonic made this camera so easy to use and it has a lot of features that would make taking pictures a breeze! It has a lot of different scene modes including simple, portrait, night portrait, motion, etc... It is much lighter than the cybershot and the acessories cost a lot less as well (sd media, AA batteries instead of memory stick and battery pack)... Although it is bigger than the average compact digicams on the market these days, this camera is still pretty compact. And especially if you're like me and don't like how cramped your hands feel using a small camera, this is a good buy. I haven't experienced any problems with shutter lag and such but i feel as though the zoom could be a bit better. I think there is also a lot of noise when recording video files but it's not a big deal. This is great for beginners and those who just want a simple point and shoot digicam... 3.2MP is good for printing pictures up to 8x10 (i believe) so if you're not planning to print very many of that size, don't waste money on buying more MP when you don't need it.

    Great Value

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 24, 2003

Pros: Easy to use, compact, great pictures

Cons: Flash not strong enough for indoor shots

This is a great camera. I use it mainly for taking pictures of cars at car shows. It is very easy to use and has a lot of features including video with sound. I accidently dropped the camera on a hard floor from a height of about 4 feet and to my surprise it wasn't hurt. My old Olympus didn't fair as well and cost me $80.00 to fix.

    Solid Performer

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jul 30, 2003 | 7 out of 7 found this Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC33 review helpful

This is a well built camera. It is great on battery usage. (2 x AA). There is no shutter lag. The camera starts up quickly and has a solid feel to it. I has a great Leica lens. The software included is very good. The only negative about the camera is the weak built-in flash. I highly recommend this camera.
