    This is my 3rd digital camera. I use to have Canon SD200, Canon s70 and this Panasonic DMC-FX8S. I love this camera. I can not see any problem with picture quality or video. It's take good picture. I only find cons in this camera is screen pixel,... when you took night time picture you can see purple color on the camera LCD screen. But when I download picture in the computer came out excellent. Overall i love this camera. I would say equal to Canon. I recommended to buy DMC-FX9 which better resolution and screen pixel.     I am new to digital camera use. But I found it very user-friendly. The results were extremely good. So much so that other digital camera useres borrowed my camera for use. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX8 is slim, safe and secure. It's easy to operate too.... A great digital camera if one knows how to use it properly. Read more Less

    Pros: light wight, easy to use, pretty

    Cons: nothing too bad about it except for the fact that it slows down after a while

    I got it as a middle school graduation present, and I fell in love with it instantly. You can carry it everywhere because it isn't at all heavy. It's also a very pretty camera with a large screen. You get a lot of use out of it. It takes real...ly good photos, even though it is a simple point and shoot, which is good, because I am a photographer. Read more Less

    Pros: Small, light, easy to use, great macro

    Cons: none yet!

    As an amateur digital photographer I chose the DMC-FX8 based on research and the fact that I own other Panasonic products which have been excellent! I am now getting used to the camera and am finding my pictures are improving along with my understand...ing of the cameras functions. Altogether I am totally pleased with my purchase and would recommend it wholeheartedly! Read more Less

    great christmass bonus

    this camera is great, i got it as a christmass bonus and i couldnt be happier, it takes exellent pictures while moving, great lcd screen amazing black and white pics.. great quality also, this is a must buy.
