Product Description: Panasonic CX-DP88
CX-DP88 features quick disc change. During play, a disc is drawn only partially from each slot, leaving it overlapped with the other discs. This system assures fast loading, while helping to protect the disc surface. An advanced digital servo is used for optical servo control, featuring an automatic servo adjustment algorithm for optimum playability of each disc. The critical laser pick up and disc loading mechanism of the CX-DP88 is isolated in a floating suspension. This technology helps absorb external vibrations while you're driving on bumpy terrain. Instead of trying to access a non-existent disc, the CD changer learns which slots are empty, so it remembers to skip ahead, accessing only the slots with CDs. This Panasonic technology helps prevent zero-cross and non-linear distortions. It requantitizes the CD data, "shaping" it and moving digital noise out of the audible range. Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) then reconstructs the analog waveform with true precision. Accurate reading of digital data from the tracks of a CD requires an intricate and precisely aligned system of laser diode, photodiode and many other small opto-electronic parts. Panasonic has successfully combined these in an integrated hologram unit and uses it in all its CD models. This helps maintain high performance, small pickup and excellent trackability. Outstanding reliability and CD sound quality result from the Panasonic One-Chip LSI. This first-in-industry technology handles the signal processing tasks of three chips: 1-bit D/A conversion with multi-stage noise shaping, and optical servo control. An advanced digital servo is used for optical servo control, lending itself to making each disc sound impeccable.
This unit can be set in five positions to the mount surface, lengthways and by angles of 22.5, 45, 67.5 and 90 degrees.
