The features I liked just fine. The problem is that the battery life they list here is two months. That was not the case with the one I owned. Mine BARELY lasted 2 weeks. It was getting expensive buying that many AAA batteries.
That plus the unit is built cheap. You can litterally break it if you squeez too hard and Im not a strong person by any means. Two of those screen protectors broke in my pocket and the thing snapped apart once. Its not the most confortable thing to carry in your pocket either as it is a bit thick.
I like the system and how it works I just wish theyd pour it into a different case. Palm makes plenty of other models that are just a practical and are of much higher quality.
mmm...mmm...needs a bit of tartar sauce
I bought a palm m105 in april 2001 at miami, but i live in medellín colombia, so i bought it for my personal use in medical work, 1 year later i had terrible problems with the mainscreen ´cause the stylus didn´t touch at the right site, i sent the palm to miami and nobody couldn´t fix it, so i lost my palm and the guarantee expired, i think it´s bad quality and i want to hear some advice about it because i wrote at least twice to palm support and nobody answered me, i´m very disapointed for that...

At 100 dollars this is an excellent buy. No other new palm is this cheap. I've had this for 10 days now and I just replaced the battery. But of course I was running the batteries very hard because I've been reading Ebooks on it at night with the backlight on. But sooner or later I will get a couple sets of rechargable batteries and not have to worry about it. With all the free software out there I've only filled half the memory up and I have added a Student Organizer(Due Yesterday) an expense program(Pocket Money), an advanced shopping list creator(HandyShopper), a free program that speeds the palm up when you need a little extra boost(Cruise Control), Quick Office, an ebook reader(TomeRaider) and AvantGo the offline internet browser plus 10 games. The only reason I give this a 4 instead of a 5 is because the flip case sort of pisses me off but I'm going to get a leather case to replace it(the flip case that comes with it is removable). Buy this if you want a good cheap product!!!
This is my first pda. I thought when comparing specs, that this was the best buy. I have to replace the batteries every 10-14 days. Does anyone else have this problem?
I had a Palm IIIc before the M105, and I really enjoyed it. The M105 is slower and the screen is smaller. The alarms on the M105 are louder and crisper than the IIIc. Overall, I think the M105 is a good entry level PDA, but I prefer the color and speed of the IIIc. Look for a faster and more robust PDA like the M130 with the expandable memory. I still continue to use the M105 everyday!
This palm has all of the basic features that all palms have, and all the features that you really need. The main difference is the batteries. Spend the extra money for the rechargeable Palm. It's well worth it, because while you are syncing, it is charging. I never even worry about it. I bought a used Palm Vx, with more memory and functions than the palm 105 for only 95, with case and other accessories...
My advice, go used and get a rechargeable, or buy a new model for $100 more that has recahargeable batteries and 8 mb of memory.

What is the retails price or best price in Singapore
if you buy this don't use datavision, their service SUCKS!!!! really, it does, and the service people are extremely rude
The 105 is my first experience with a Palm type computer and I have enjoyed it very much. I have found very much useful "free" software. I am a minister and have found several very good bibles and even a Greek NT and a Greek Dictionary. I am going to have to cough up the bucks for a cross-reference for the dictionary but it's a small price to pay. My only regret is not buying the one that you can plug memory cards into though I have not filled mine to capacity yet.
The Palm m105 is my first experience with PDAs and I would have to say that it is working just as well if not better than I expected it to. I use the date book constantly with work, and it has never let me down. I find a new use for this handy little gadget nearly everyday. I'm starting to wonder how I functioned without it in the past! I like the way that I can mark some files 'private' so that they can only be unlocked with a password, as well as the ability to categorize files and view them separatly. I have really enjoyed it, even if I have no other experience with a PDA to compare it to. I would definitly recommend it to anyone with a busy schedule like me.
I recently bought an m105 and was very excited about its capabilities. As I used it, and began to enter data, it became slower and slower. The bottom line where the calendars were, the details and okay buttons were, I had to tap several times before it would respond. I returned it and the dealer worked with it and decided that it was defective and gave me a new one. I took that one home and entered all of the data and was excited about how much better it was, then the 2nd day it began to do the same thing except it also stopped allowing me to erase and the cursor began to jump around. I went to another store and one of the salespeople informed me that they think that this model is notorious for doing that and they personally do not sell that model to anyone. I am returning this one and will be getting a different Palm. Which one I still have not decided on. But I do know that it will not be another M105. Sorry about the lousy review, but this is what my experience was. Thank you and good luck to those of you who already have one.
This palm computer is the best as you know www.palm.com is there site I say go to the nearest store that has a palm 105 or other palm computers and buy one.
