Pros: doesn't peel ^_^, a perfect schooling partner because of its voice recorder
Cons: the camera is just a 1.2 megapixel device, but good enough for spur of the moment picture moments whenever you forget to bring your camera.
I have really enjoyed the features. It is still serving me faithfully in class. hahaha...
A great organizer, and keeps track of my schedule nicely.
Pros: simple and easy to use
Cons: auto fill memory can't be cleaned
Last Christmas I received the palm zire 72. We just started using ACT as a CRM and I was having trouble getting my Casseopeia to sync. While I could've probably just bought a sync software I was reluctant. The zire 72 works well enough with my v710 motorola phone for surfing the web. No matter where I am in my little house the bluetooth connects. It does sync with ACT. I've found several freeware sites for other software. I've put Eudora on it so I can check workemail and WebPro for the web-based personal email. The battery is decent.
Pros: Records Audio, Video, and Stills
Cons: no Wi-Fi
The two features that made me choose this model over all the others available, was the stereo sound, and the built in cam that allows you to record video as well as still pictures.
The Still Photos can be of resolutions of :
160x120
320x240
640x480
1280x960
And for video you get:
160x120
320x240
The downside of this is the cam is only 1.2 MegaPixel, so you won't be making major motion pictures, but it is nice enough to use for normal quick pics, and videos.
To record video you must have a SD card (1 Gig max according to Palm's website)
I strongly recomend getting a SD card for this palm. It makes it possible to not only store video, but to also play and record audio files.
The Audio Recorder come in VERY handy when you need to record a quick reminder to yourself of something that comes to mind and don't necessarily want to take time to write it down:
"Don't forget to get milk" as an example
The Zire 72 Comes with built in BlueTooth, which is nice, but not what I use. You can get an external WiFi card for it if you choose.
Connection of your palm 72 to the PC is with USB, or by BlueTooth. Serial connection is available, but you will have to buy the cord seperatly.
Software that comes with the Palm72 is the standard stuff that has been on Palm Pilots forever: Address Book, Calendar, Calculator, Memo Pad, Dialer, World Clock, Note Pad, etc. It also comes with a CD that has the PC Desktop software, Adobe Reader for Palm, Documents to Go (allows you to use MS Word, and MS Excel documents), an Email Program, a basic Web Browser, Real Player for Palm, as well as others.
You can of course gets thousands of other programs for the palm, that are very useful, and are either inexpensive or free on the internet.
All in all it is just a great gadget, that let me leave my MP3 Player, DigiCam, CamCorder, and Handheld gaming system at home. This does it all.
Pros: Bluetooth®, Music, Camera, Weight is very nice, Expansion Slot
Cons: Nothing
Well I had an old one, and it was time for a newer model. The zire 72 was the only one that I liked when I went to buy one. It was not too expensive and it had many of nice futures. Overall its a very good buy. It has Bluetooth®, Music, Camera, Expansion Slot and all the things a palm should have.
Pros: vey fast processor for this price.Way better than the Tungsten E model.Very decent camera.superb color.Strong unit
Cons: not too much internal memory. At least 64 bm I'll to see on it.
I had many many problems with the model C Tungsten, as a matter of fact I went through two of them in less than two years. With the money back from it I wanted to try this model Zire72 special edition, and not only has performed very well, but I had extra cash left (from the C model) to buy a wifi card to make use of the web as I was doing it with the C model. I strongly recommend this model for the money. I also received in less than two weeks a rebate for $50.00 when I purchased it at Bestbuy stores. I highly suggest to purchase the warranty at the store. The Palm one warranty stinks. I would never go back to the model C, since it's over priced and they do not make it anymore. with the Zire72s, I can use any size sd cards. Also it's excellent in battery use.
