    Pros: small, color, fine PC linking program, cute

    Cons: PC Palm desktop program would not link with a com port at first. Had to evict my telephone modem from its com port first.

    Palm gave this $99 PDA all the right moves. I like its small size. It has about 22 MB of core memory for the user. I've downloaded about 8 books into it from the excellent e-reader website. Entering appointments, memos, addresses into the PC sync... program is easy and intuitive. Best organizer program I've used. You get the latest news feeds downloaded to the Z22 when you sync online. Forget the morning paper for your train commute? Get out the Z22 to read a book, news, play games, write your novel. The handwriting recognition is easy to learn to use. There is a software keyboard if you prefer. Download images of your sweetie, your cocker spaniel. Bonus feature: beam info to other palm users with IR - exchange schedules, URLs, notes, addresses. Give one to everyone in your family instead of just the breadwinner having a $500 PDA: Sis, Junior, Mom, Dad and the cocker have one for the same money. Did the dog think hers was a chewable toy? For $99 don't be cheap! Buy her another one. Read more Less

    Pros: Incredible price, SO easy to learn to use. e-books are wonderful!

    Cons: None really, but it would be really cool if it could actually take pics.

    I really love this!! It has so many features you would never believe it was only 99$! The best deal I have ever gotten on a P.D.A, and also the best overall! I love the e-books,the calendar, the scheduler, the photo organizer, the lists, the calculat...or! Everything was perfect!! Read more Less

    Pros: Inexpensive, small size, customizable, functional

    This is my 1st PDA. I sought out something that would help me keep up with all personal and business-related appointments and meetings, without breaking my pockets. After doing extensive research, I felt the Z22 was the best decision for me. I've... had it about a week now, and do not regret the decision I made. I've entered so much info into this thing. No more writing notes on scrap pieces of paper or keeping separate paper calendars for me! I got a good deal from OfficeMax because it came with 4 extra styli, a blue soft case and 4 screen protectors...all which typically come separately and would run up the tab. I also love the customizable features: personal photos, fonts, and colors. I suggest this for 1st-timers or business gurus! Read more Less

    Pros: size and easy to use

    Cons: only lasted 10 months

    I bought this for my daughter for Christmas 2005. By October 2006 - it had died. It cost 120.00 to buy and 70.00 to fix - not worth it! My husband has had lot's of bad luck with Palm products. Now he tells me!!! I'll get her the Sharp 29.99 ...organizer instead! Read more Less

    Pros: low price, small size

    Cons: poor support, poor image quality,useless features

    I bought this little PDA because of its low price. At the time, I was not sure if I need a PDA or not, so I bought it to see if I can get used with the idea. Later on I was going to upgrade to a more sophisticated model, if I decided that PDA is what... I need to put some order in my mess.The quality of the image is very poor, and the features are not impressive at all.Let's say that my Samsung t629 phone is almost as smart as this device, and has more memory and better picture quality. The problems started right away, and they ended the day I sold the unit. Obviously, there are some basic features (memo pad, tasks, calculator, alarm, etc), which can be found on any decent organizer. I wanted to install on it some more advanced features, like a budget manager for instance. Therefore I ordered the software, but it never worked. Moreover, I was endlessly ping-ponged between Palm's Customer Support and the software producer.None of them was able to detect the issue and come up with a resolution.None of them was willing to refund me, or to do anything to alleviate the problem. Palm was blaming Element 5, and Element 5 was blaming Palm for my issues. None of them formerly apologized for the inconvenience.The worse happened after a month of intense efforts....My credit card was charged again, for the same amount I paid for the software (40 bucks). At that point my patience came to an end. I requested a full refund, but nobody answered my e-mails,and the phone calls were again passed from Palm to Element 5 and back. Therefore I got in touch with my credit card company and reported both transcations as frauds. I sold the PDA and bought a HP instead. I'm sure my case is not a singular one, so my advice is to think twice before you spend the money. You may just waste a hundred bucks, just as I did. Read more Less

    Small, strong and adequate, when it works!

    Pros: It is small and compact, yet it has a big and strong feel to it.

    Cons: Unreliable, I have owned of them and they all failed on thier own. Only a 90-day warranty.

    This particular model started off as a good choice, however, I have owned three of this particular model and they all failed on thier own. The longest that I was able to get one of these to work is about 2 weeks. I had filled it with lots of contact ...and calendar information, then for no apparent reason, it would not turn on anymore. The warranty is only 90 days, so if you are going purchase one, I advise to get either the replacement plan or in-store warranty. Read more Less

    Pros: Great Screen, 99 Bucks, Many Features, More Memory Than Heigher Priced Handhelds

    Cons: No Expansion Slot

    I think this is a wonderful handheld. Its only 99 bucks. I just wish it had an expansion slot. There aren't many accessories and the ones that there are, are pretty pricey.

    Pros: Nice design

    Cons: Very poor warranty - just 90 days, problematic from start; power shots off intermitently

    This is the second Palm I owned, and like the first Palm (Palm Vx) I owned, this one failed soon after the warranty of 90 days expired. Power shot off intermittently until I could no longer turn it back on. I'm either very unlucky and I got stuck... with two lemons from Palm or these two products are evidence of Palm's poor quality control. Another disappointing experience are Palm's poor customer service (waited on the phone for 30 minutes for tech support) and its dismal 90-day warranty for the Z22 - makes you question Palm's real commitment to stand behind its products. Overall, the Z22 is a nice entry level PDA but its lack of reliability and poor quality compounded by Palm's poor customer service makes me not want to recommend this item or any other items from Palm. I think two bad experiences are enough. Read more Less

    z22 lacks longevity

    This is the third Palm I have purchased, but the first one that has failed on its own. It only has a 90 day warranty and now I know why. The power shot off, so I looked on the Internet to see if others had the same problem, which some of you have. I ...let it sit for 2-3 months and now it started working again. It's disappointing to see poor quality components in this device. Otherwise, I would be happy with it. I decided against using Palm's customer service as it was pricey and slow, and I didn't care to send my z22 in as it contained personal data on the HDD. I can't say that I trust Palm anymore.
