Pros: Bright display, easy to use, compact, Documents To Go
Cons: Short lifespan
Before it died, that is....
After graduating from high school and beginning on the road to college in 2006, I originally bought the Tungsten E2 as a cheaper and easier alternative to a laptop. I bought it in June 2006. I bought a PalmOne universal keyboard and used it to type notes and papers on my trusty little sidekick. I loved my little Tungsten; I hot synced it almost every day, always made sure it was charged, planned my days on it, loaded mini games on it, played music from it, and even bought a cute little hard cover to protect it! It traveled with me everywhere.
Documents To Go had to have been the best program I had ever encountered, and even to this day, I am impressed. Here I was able to write my papers, stories, notes, read Adobe PDFs, etc. and transfer them from computer to Tungsten and vice versa. It was awesome, and I was very pleased.
Not only was it a magnificent help with my studies, it also helped me with my organization. It was quite easy to get on the desktop here, and plan out my schedule on palmOne's Palm Desktop program. After I was finished, I would simply hot sync my little Tungsten, and I would have an up to date schedule for the day, week, month, year(s)!
However, in my second year of college of 2007, I decided to give my Tungsten a break as I had misplaced the charger during a cleaning spree. The last time I pulled it out was in January of 2008, when I wanted to check out the birthdays I had programmed in. It had worked just fine, but I knew needed to find the charger. In May of 2008, I find the charger and am plugging it into my little Tungsten only to find it will not turn on!
I repeatedly hit reset; I recurrently hit on/off all to no avail. For my little sidekick is gone...gone forever. I realized my 1988 Nintendo Gameboy lasted longer than it. I guess I could easily say it served its purpose, no matter how much I miss it.
Pros: it works fine if you don't plan to upgrade your system anytime soon
Cons: Palm offers absolutly no support for Vista 64 bit system
I used the Tungsten E2 in the classroom for a year with my students and loved it; however, when it came time to update my system at home, I found out that Palm does not support Windows Vista 64 bit systems. Furthermore, the company has no intention of supporting it. With more and more people and businesses upgrading to 64 bit, Palm is setting itself up to lose major business in the near future. Even the those running 32 bit Vista have trouble with Palm. I suggest reading all of the help forums on the Palm website and see for yourself how many people have tried to get support from Palm but have been left in the dark.
Pros: Flawless, Total Dependability
Cons: None
Too bad Palm didn't pioneer the iPod. I had a Palm Tungten E get run over by a truck and it still worked. It is THE most intuitive, dependable electronic device in the history of the world. During the same period I have built up a veritable junkyard of iPod's. Am in he process of converting my MP3 listening habits over to the Palm OS system. With apple iPod my experience has been the inverse. One pull your hair out experience after another. Unlike Apple, Palm people have figured out quality control.
Pros: bfhdhfg
Cons: fgjhnfgj

Pros: Doesn't last for the long haul
Cons: Easy to use while it works
This is my second, AND LAST, E2. This one lasted 11 months and about 20 days! It worked just fine one minute, including a very recent synchronization with my PC, and now it is totally dead.
The best that one can hope for from Palm user support is a chat session.
So I'm done. I've used Palm PDAs since 2001, and I'm going back to paper.
Pros: works great when its working
Cons: digitizer piece of crap
Don't buy this one find something else. I'm still searching for another PDA to buy. NOT a PALM. I've had it for several years but the damn digitizer malfunctions after I've done all kinds of resets, reloads, re-???? whats ever. I'm going to try to find a replacement digitizer for $50. or digitizer and screen for $75-$100. New one is $150-$200. but why buy a another one.
Pros: features are great
Cons: only a few mintes use per battery charge ever since I received it.
The battery will not stay charged. It has been sent for repair twice and returns in the same condition. It will also reset itself to original date & time every few days for no apparent reason. Had 2 Palm before but really got a lemon this time.
