Switching from a Hanspring Visor to this... WOW

By Hillary  Nov 13, 2003 | 112 out of 116 found this Palm Tungsten E review helpful

Pros: Excellent color screen, easy to use, lots of extras

    Cons: None?

I didn't think I'd ever upgrade from my original Handspring Visor, but I'm REALLY glad the Tungsten E came along. I love that it works with a charger and not AAA batteries, that the color screen has amazing resolution, and I especially lo...ve that I didn't lose all of my info when I upgraded. Props to Palm software for staying compatible. The calendar view, where you can see the day's appointments and highlights coming up, is great. The tip and % discount calculator are very convenient features as well. I like having access to databases and being able to load acrobat/word/excel files. It's almost a mini-laptop! I'm really glad it doesn't have one of those little keyboards, though. They're awkward to type on, and once you're proficient with graffiti, it's a breeze. Read more Less

    Mostly Very Good

By STEVAN  Nov 27, 2003 | 30 out of 32 found this Palm Tungsten E review helpful

    Pros: Excellent Color Screen

    Cons: Battery Life is Miserable

Overall good product, but battery life is very short. It will not last a full day. Palm could improve the product significantly if they would offer a 12 volt travel charger and offer additional ac adapters.

    PalmOne Tungsten E

A bright screen and a bunch of software sweeten the deal on this entry-level business Palm.PalmOne's Tungsten line is aimed at business users, and at $199, the E model is the least expensive Tungsten available, with the fewest frills. It doesn't have an expandable screen like the Tungsten T, or wireless connectivity and a thumb keyboard like the Tungsten C. But it shares with its siblings a bright, very high resolution screen. Photos we viewed on the Tungsten E showed exceptional detail and appealing color, and text was quite easy to read. Read more
