    Love it!

Pros: Aesthetically gorgeous, easy to use, amazing clarity, improved almost everything.

Cons: Some functions have an extra step added from Palm OS

Wow, what a gorgeous phone this is. About a year ago, I dispensed with a home phone (too many phone numbers, too much $$) and have been using my Treo 650 as my one-and-only since then. I wanted to try the 750, see if there was any improvement, part...icularly in sound quality. You know what? Everything is great - in usual Treo fashion - and well worth the extra $$ spent to upgrade. The sound quality is markedly improved. Two of my biggest reasons for Treo over Blackberry are (1) aesthetics; this is a sleek, slim phone with a great QWERTY keyboard and a stylus (I'm partial to the stylus) and (2) having a camera phone. Although this purports to be the same 1.3 megapixel as the 650, I notice a huge improvement in picture quality. The messaging functions are also hugely improved -- the phone does just about everything but reach out and grab your arm when you have a message, text message or reminder. I love this phone! A great first step into the Palm 3G era

    By Bob07442  Mar 4, 2007 | 8 out of 8 found this Palm Treo 750 review helpful

Pros: UTMS/HSDPA, Windows Mobile 5.0, Full of features and easy to use!

Cons: Camera takes a step down from 650

As a former Treo 600 and Treo 650 user this is my first Treo using Windows Mobile. It was quite an adjustment at first from the Palm O/S but I have adjusted quite nicely. Although HSDPA is not yet supported by Cingular you can easily google a solutio...n to that problem which does not degrade or risk harm to your device. With HSDPA enabled I see speed test results exceeding 900 kbps in 3G service areas of Northern NJ and NYC. Outlook e-mail and calendar are great and very easy to use and sync withh a PC. Threaded text messaging is a big plus as well. The only negative I really have is the digital camera which in my opinion has taken a step back from the quality of the Treo 650's camera. I definitely recommend this phone! Read more Less

    Definite Winner!

    Pros: Smooth operation, sleek design

Cons: No WiFi, Screen a bit small

I have had this phone 2 months and would absolutely not trade it for anything. I bought it unlocked from Vodafone and use it without problem on the T-Mobile network. Blackberry software funktions beautifully, and I never have an excuse to be unreac...hable! Outside of the lack of WiFi and the shorter than normal battery life this is the perfect phone/handheld combo. I use it quite a bit as a music player also with a 2gb memory card and never need to have another device with me! Read more Less

    Productivity at its Best...

By Jay  Jan 29, 2007 | 10 out of 15 found this Palm Treo 750 review helpful

Pros: The good: The Palm Treo 750 sports a more compact design and comes with integrated Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and world phone capabilities. The Windows-based smart phone also works on Cingular's 3G UMTS network and has push e-mail and the new threaded chat view.

Cons: The bad: The Treo 750 will not support Cingular's HSPDA network at launch and doesn't have integrated Wi-Fi. It also has a low-resolution screen and failed to meet the rated battery talk time.

The bottom line: The Palm Treo 750 includes some nice enhancements and offers good usability, but you can get more for your money with the Cingular 8525.

    Great phone. I recommendto all.

By Ernesto  Aug 22, 2007 | 2 out of 2 found this Palm Treo 750 review helpful

Pros: Easy to use. Great looking phone. Bluetooth works excellent with a Motorla HTS800.

Cons: Battery life not that great. Suggest a backup.

I would not trade this phone for any other. I see people have problems but as of yet not me. Audio on notifications would occasionally mute but the problem was solved after I downloaded the software patch from the Palm website. All in all I love this... phone. Read more Less

    Treo 750 - Cingular (now AT&T)

By JonM  Jul 12, 2007 | 2 out of 2 found this Palm Treo 750 review helpful

Pros: Lightweight, works great in Japan, Many of features

    Cons: Goes "mute&am
p;quot; often (no ring) requiring soft reset

Upgraded from a Treo 650. Loved the 650, and do really like the 750 EXCEPT the fact that Palm has NOT corrected the software issue that causes the phone to go totally mute (no alerts, no ring, no vibrate). Seems to mostly occur after using bluetoot...h and/or voice dialing. Causes missed calls and you must do a "soft&am
p;quot; reset to bring back the alerts, etc. VERY annoying problem and when I called Palm, they have no info on a resolution. I travel a fair amount, and miss the World Clock from the Palm OS...a nice feature when traveling across many time zones. On the upside, the phone is lightweight, easy to operate, and has a lot of great features. Just returned from Tokyo and the phone worked great in Japan on NTT DoCoMo's UMTS network. Most US phones will NOT work in Japan (or Korea), and this one does! Overall I'd rate it 8.5 If Palm resolves the mute problem I'll give it a 9.5

    better than it looks

By steve  Sep 6, 2007 | 2 out of 3 found this Palm Treo 750 review helpful

    Pros: unmatched ergonomics

    Cons: lousy camera

don't dismiss this phone due to its shape! i'm a gadget guy so i like to be on top of new tech. as such, when i upgraded my cellphone i went for the Dopod 838pro; its the best spec'd phone i could find. And, it's probably the best... phone i've ever used -and i use every feature save for the barcode scanner. that is, until my wife gave me her treo 750. i skipped the treo 750 because of the reviews about its weaknesses, small screen and lack of wi-fi...but after spending a day with it, i find it total user friendly, much more so than any other smartphone. why? 1. the shape is fat compared to today's standards but it fits in the palm perfectly. 2. its light. lighter than it looks and invisible in the pockets. 3. 3G HSDPA makes wi-fi obsolete! Google Maps and Live Search make finding anything or place instant from any place you happen to be. iPhone can't touch that. 4. the keyboard is on the front. that, plus the Palm enhancements make this a true one-handed smartphone. this means a lot, especially if you're on the run a lot. 5. luxury. the rubberized body and the chrome bits make this a luxurious phone, too. the buttons are tactile and firm, so one gets the sensation of a quality product. beware though, the camera is lousy and there's no macro feature for snapping text. that said, i truely recommend the 750 even though i'm not a Palm fan. Treo 750

By Bob  Sep 13, 2007 | 1 out of 1 found this Palm Treo 750 review helpful

Pros: Great ergos and well thought out design

Cons: Screen is the "smudgy" kind of glass that is hard to clean

An excellent choice for a user that needs the functionality this phone offers. I have used a variety of smart phones and I feel this is the best of them all. The ActiveSync abilities are phemonenal and a key reason why I like it so much. Mail, co...ntacts and caledar items sync quickly and seamlessly. I like the ability to accept or decline invites from MS Outlook calendar on the phone. The only real gripes I have are some minor idiosyncracies in use, the screen surface and battery life. When I type in a number manually the phone sometimes just quits out of number entry and leaves me at the Today screen. At first I thought I might be pressing an incorrect key or something but after several times, it was clear it is the phone. The screen gets all smeared up and is hard to clean or keep clean. I installed a screen protector form Pocket PC Techs and that helps quite a bit. I also feel a little frustrated by the incredibly short battery life. I have a UMTS capable network where I live for data. I know this is more of a drain on the battery but I want the speed. The phone syncs at the default intervals but it sucks the battery dry in about 8 hours. I am not on the phone continuiously so it is more a sync thing I believe. I have tested this by just letting the phone sync and not calling anyone or even getting calls (leave it off the charger all night). But I really like it and will keep using it. Read more Less

    Disappointed

By KD  Jul 7, 2007 | 1 out of 1 found this Palm Treo 750 review helpful

    Pros: Beautiful looking phone

    Cons: Serious technical problems

The phone's good-looking, fits the hand well, lightweight...but, I encountered continuous problems with the phone freezing up and needing to be re-booted; the phone would constantly turn itself off (many missed calls); tech support could not dete...rmine why the battery needed recharging every three hours, when none of the applications or phone were in use (seriously had to plug in any time I saw an outlet); after spending $50 bucks for a case, any bumps to the case would start up applications on the phone (I would hear clicking and need to remove from the case to turn off); other application and email issues also. I returned the sweet-looking phone to AT&T. Read more Less
