Pros: GSM "global" phone, easy one-hand navigation and input for PDA functions and phone

Cons: Web browsing with the lower resolution screen; Seems to have some feedback and/or background buzzing on phone calls

I use my PDA primarily for keeping track of people and appointments. I don't use it to view spreadsheets or Word documents. I can now use it for doing e-mail which is something that I never really took advantage of even though my previous cell ...phone could handle SMS messaging. If you use your PDA in the same way then this phone is a wonderful marriage of cell phone and PDA functionality in one compact unit with all of the Internet connectivity options built in.The screen is bright and easy to read outdoors, even on bright days. This is the first time I've used the GSM band (which is used just about everywhere else in the world and which is now begining to roll out here in the U.S) so I got the phone thinking I would try it out to make sure I still got a signal here at my house. I did - in fact it seems that the GSM signal, at least for my location, is stronger than the old CDMA signal. One thing I have noticed is that people I call sometimes complaing of a buzzing noise on the line and I've had to mute my phone on some conference calls because of this problem. I'm planning to call AT&T to see if this is a known issue or maybe just my phone. My advice, make sure you can return it if you give it a try and don't get satisfactory phone results on the GSM network. Traveling overseas occasionally as I do, having a "global" phone will be a nice plus - as long as it works well here in the U.S. :-)Overall though a super unit. I'm very happy with it. Pros: 3 in 1 - phone, pda, camera. The best so far of itskind

    Cons: pda 1st, phone and camera 2nd & 3rd

The best smart phone I ever seen.
However the phone is not as friendly as Nokia and PDA is not as good as iPaq. PDA does not support some of the popular features in iPaq such as MS Money etc.
    Camera resolution is too low.

    Impressive Treo 600

Handspring's new Palm-based PDA/cell phone hybrid offers a slew of additional features. The Treo 600 ranks as the first phone to ship with Palm OS 5. The device doesn't take advantage of the OS's support for higher-resolution displays, but its bright and crisp 1.75-inch-square screen is so small that the old 160 by 160 resolution looks fine. Also missing: built-in support for Graffiti or other handwritten input. The Treo does have a slot for SD/MMC memory and hardware cards. Read more
