    Pros: ALL IN ONE

    Cons: NOT FOUND ANY YET

Email, Internet, Digital Camera, organizer. My girl friend bought me this early Thanksgiving gift last weekend. She said what did I expect more? I was speechless after I played around with it a whole nite. Yes, this is the one. Way better than the ot...her brand. May be the mini keyboard not looking cool, but it is really easy to type. A cool looking cover for the keyboard will be a plus. Read more Less

    Treo 600 rocks

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 8, 2003 | 12 out of 13 found this Palm Treo 600 CDMA review helpful

Pros: form factor, 5way toggle, java script capability, apps

Cons: screen resolution, no voice recorder, no bluetooth

The Treo 600 has just about everything. Phone, PDA/organizer, wireless web, corporate email, digital camera, and mp3 player.I upgraded from the Treo 300 and am thoroughly impressed with this device. Handspring (now Palm) made some great improvements... in the Treo 300 that made a great device exceptional. First, the Treo 600 form factor is more phone-like. I really like the narrower design. It fits better in the hand and is more functional as a phone. The narrower body does not compromise the functionality of the screen size and ability to use the device as a PDA. Another big improvement is the 5 way toggle button. It really allows you to do almost all phone, pda, web, corporate email, and camera functions with one hand. The Blazer web browser is very functional. Java script capability has made alot more websites viewable /accessible. Speeds on the Sprint network are approximately 60K. Not fast enough to do a lot of web surfing, but makes the device at least functional as a web access tool. I find I use the web to entertain myself while waiting in lines, long meetings, etc. You can access and make purchases on sites like Amazon. It is also fun to access stocks, business news, etc. The PDA has all the necessary features. I like the integration of my Outlook contacts to my phone. With a few key strokes, I can dial any of my contacts. No reloading numbers each time you switch phones. The phone allows you to easily link digital pictures to your contacts so a picture of the person calling you shows on the screen when they call. The applications for this product seem almost endless. My kids love to play the games (when they can get the Treo out of my hands). I am able to access all my corporate email real time. The device notifies me when new email has arrived. Now I just need to get out of the office more to take advantage of this. The MP3 functionality is impressive. The sound quality is great and you can use regular headphones (with a $6 adapter). I have seen a third party combo headphone /telephone set that is made for this device. Oh, and the sd slot is a huge improvement. I can store photos, mp3 files, extra apps. This has been a real plus even if you don't think you have that many applications to store. I think you will find with all that can be done with this phone, you will definitely want an SD card. I recommend at least 256 mb.Cons: screen resolution 160x 160. 320x 320 would be better, but to be honest... I think the screen looks great. It is brighter than the T300 and is fine for all apps except viewing the digital camera shots. The camera shots are fine for sharing over the internet, but not anything you would want to blow up for Mom for Christmas. It would have been nice to be able to have an integrated voice recorder and bluetooth functionality.Hope this helps,bz Read more Less

Review: Treo 600 Gets Smartphone Right

So the Treo 600 delivers a lot and is a giant step in the right direction for a Palm OS smartphone. It has a good amount of memory and battery life, a usable digital camera and a well integrated keyboard. It is an admirable PDA. But more importantly, its PDA functions doesn't overwhelm its usability as handset. This balance, between PDA and handset, is what sets the Treo 600 apart from other smartphone solutions. Read more
