    Still a very good investment

Palm IIIc adds the missing color value of the Palm III series and other non color models . With its Bright display and amazingly the battery last longer compared to Pocket PC's. The world is in color and we deserve something basic to our eye needs.... Traditional palm OS --- so simple to use for organizing daily work life. I used Pocket PC and Palm . I trusted my palm for everyday as my organizer and assistant, but I also used pocket PC for storing data with graphics or long text files in Word, big bulky files because of the memory size of pocket pcs are bigger and expandable but I observed that battery life of the Palm is still the best. Good Palm BAD DEALERS !

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Nov 3, 2001 | 2 out of 2 found this Palm IIIc handheld review helpful

I love the IIIc best buy for your money, especially if you are new to Palms. This is my first palm and I am very happy with it. I just needed something simple to keep track of phone numbers, appointments, grocery list without caring pockets full of p...apers. This is GREAT. Plus you can read e-books, and play many cool games. (Without the color, the same games are not as good or even impossible to play, and your other options are way over $400). The PDAs that run WinCE might be cool as well but when I went to CompUSA, and Best Buy, I asked about the software for them, and was told not only is there less software, its harder to find its also more expansive ! Now I wish there was some buyers could rate the dealers here but I see there isn't so I will say it here DO NOT BUY from Corporate Raider !!! I ordered my Palm and next day got a call, the lady wanted to ask what accessories I wanted. She went down the list and when she got to the Cradle she said ohh you must buy it or it wont work. I told her that the Palm IIIc comes with a cradle and she said not this one, this one is a replacemt for people who break their original ones. You can only the Palm, no cradle, no software no nothing. And the "full" version is $49.99 more. I told her that on their site there is no information about so - called two versions. The even state you can buy an EXTRA cradle. She said that they are still my best deal. I told her I want to cancel my order and I can find a better deal, she just hung up on me. Only reason they have that price is because it will show up as one of the cheaper ones in the search. So please before you place your order (for any PDA) E-mail or Call the dealer and ask what is included in the item !! I see from earlier review compusavers did the same thing. Read more Less
