faithless- outrospective
, January 27, 2003Reviewer: ren p - See all ren p's reviewsthe flow of the album is impeccable, from the opening betas of donny x to the last weird orchestra-warp note of liontamer. all of faithless' signature songs are there: the slammers (we come 1, tarantula), and the moody, massive-attack-esque (not enuff love, muhammad ali). both female leads are amazing, especially zoe's evergreen.
however, we come 1 and tarantula are NOT going to parallel god is a dj, and what kinda turns me off is that they actually tried to do so, at least with we come 1. truth is, the ebst songs, IMHO, are the ones with real progression: evergreen and muhammad ali.
atill a great effort by faithless, and i think this album best marries the moodiness of the slow-burning songs and the energy of the floorstompers. ...
