Fresh Alcohol Free Extract. Studies have shown that hypericin and related bioactive constituents are concentrated in the flowering buds of uncultivated plants. We have standardized our harvesting process to retain hypericin, without compromising other medicinally active constituents. We are careful to select only the buds in consideration of this activity. Through independent analysis, this product meets or exceeds our minimum potency standard of 0.3% total naphthodianthrones as hypericin. The flower buds are first extracted in alcohol to capture highest level of therapeutic activity. The alcohol is then removed and replaced with kosher vegetable glycerin in consideration of those who prefer an alcohol-free product.
