Amazing Vacuum!

Pros: Light-weight, fast, seems to restore carpet pile.

Cons: No on board tools on this model

I just received this exact model as my early birthday present! My Dad swears by Oreck Vacuum's, whereas I always thought they looked a bit cheap... This is definitely one of those situations where looks can be deceiving! My previous vacuum broke ...(just a regular bagless vacuum that only lasted about 3 years). I was actually weary to go back to a "bag vacuum" considering how much hair I pick up at my house (my two cats and I shed constantly - perhaps it's because we are all longhaired?? Anyway, this product was shipped to me and much to my surprise the only assemblage was the handle to the vacuum with two phillips head screws!! I vacuumed for 30 minutes because I didn't want to stop! This machine is absolutely amazing, I vacuumed all the hardwood floors and carpet, and with this model it "self adjusts"!! There was no spitting of kitty litter from one area to another, its so powerful you can see the hairballs and other bits and pieces being sucked towards the vacuum! The only thing that I am used to is on-board tools for the floorboards and such, but after seeing the speed and how it pretty much runs itself across my floors I can live without any of that other stuff. PLUS this model has little brushes at the side that magically push things away from the floor boards and towards the powerful suction. I have "turned" Oreck! I'm a self professed Oreck-aholic!
