A Story Full Of Human Culture And Humour!!!

By Kate Conan  May 16, 2007

    Pros: A Nice Cartoon!!!

Cons: "The Earth has a skin and that skin has diseases, one of its diseases is called man"

The film was about the journey full of human culture and humour to back to the wild world of the 900-pound bear, Boog. This was an impressive hit of Sony Picture Animation at Christmas 2006, and it made US$ 23 million in its first week. "Open S...eason" is a touching story about life, friendship and invaluable values of natural environment which was concretized through the journey of the silly and lovely bear, Boog (was voiced by Martin Lawrence) and the talkative deer, Elliot (was voiced by Ashton Kutcher). Being brought up by the forest-keeper, Beth (was voiced by Debra Messing), Boog had a comfortable and quiet life at the mountain area village, Timberline. Boog met and made friends with Elliot, a deer which was extremely smart and usually laughed all the day. One day, Boog was seduced to drink heavily by Elliot and become devastative; so the forest-keeper Beth thought that it was time to take the bulky bear back to natural life. She used an airplane to carry Boog and Elliot to a far forest beside a mighty waterfall. And she hoped this would be a safe house for Boog. Boog had to begin a new life without chocolate when he suddenly woke up in the forest. Boog had to adapt himself to the new life. Besides, he and his new friends had to resist bad hunters when the hunting season began. This was the first time in his life that he understood the great and generous nature-mother contained such a lot of dangers. And the most terrible thing to Boog and Elliot was the wicked hunter-guy, Shaw. How did the two intelligent and nice friends have to do in order to adapt themselves to the wild life which they had never known before? Read more Less
