Pros: good character development, good action

Cons: love story leans to the cheesy side

Action seems more to the second half of the movie, that being said, the first half doesn't drag at all. Quite the contrary, characters are revealed to each other as they are to the viewer. Gives you more of a stake in the action later on. Also..., the scenery is incredible. Read more Less

    Pros: The Gunfight

    Cons: The Dialogue

I am not a big fan of Kevin Costner. His movies are always overblown. This one walks the line of being overblown. To really appreciate the movie, I had to watch it at least five times. I finally understood why Costner started the movie the way he did... after the fifth time. But once I suspended my disbelief and was able to make sense of how the movie started, I started to like it a little. The best part of the movie is the gunfight near the end. You can really hear every gunshot. they sound like cannons going off. And having surround sound only makes it better. The dialogue is overblown in many places, just like in his other movies. It does hurt the believeability factor. The movie is good overall, but could have been better. Read more Less
