    Pros: Seminal U.S. Gothic Rock

    Cons: This album isn't in the R&R hall of Fame yet

    For any fan of Gothic rock this is a must have. Until Cleopatra records reissued it in cd form it could rarely be found in import record shoppes in college towns.This album is as gothic as it gets.Sodomizing furnaces, prayers chanted backwards, scary... distorted guitars, and lots of blood. Anyone into Victorian Gothic novels and tales of horror will enjoy the aural imagery.To think this nightmare set to music was created not in London or some Teutonic crypt, but sunny L.A. shows what a genius Rozz Williams was, and was barely out of his teens at the time this was recorded!Anyone into Marilyn Manson who hears this will throw away all thier MM CDs when the hear this album.     This is easily one of the best Rozz albums out there. This IS Christian Death, this is their first and best album and the most agressive Rozz album. GET IT!!
