Online Chess Kingdoms features a variety of singleand multiplayer options, a "Story" mode, and a quick game of "Speed Chess." For single players, "Story" mode requires gamers to choose between five chess sets that represent five warring factions. Gamers pick from such regimes as magicians, an aquatic race, cybernetic beings, forest spirits, and servants of chaos. Each race includes unique animations displayed as pieces are won and lost. Players may also unlock hidden story elements by completing preset tasks within a game. Gamers who prefer going headtohead with human opponents can access single games and tournaments through the Adhoc wireless Internet connection that will track the ratings of top players.
