Kimberley Locke has a great voice. Im sure her debut cd will hit number one all over and her first single will probably win a few awards. I think she will be around for years to come. Shes got what it takes to make it in the music biz. Even thought she didn't hit number one on american idol im sure she will hit number one in a lot of hearts still to come.

Pro Reviews: One Love
| EXPERT RATING: From AMG Reviews Kimberley Locke came in third in the 2003 American Idol, behind winner Ruben Studdard and secondplace finisher Clay Aiken. Unlike Nikki McKibben, the thirdplace contestant in the first American Idol who was virtually written out of AI history once that season finished, Locke was able to release an album of her own, with One Love appearing in May 2004, about a year after her AI journey ended. One Love lands part way between Kelly Clarkson's Thankful and Clay Aiken's Measure of a Man. It's a polished mainstream pop album, with hints of Clarkson's dancepop in the rhythms of a few tracks, but its heart is much closer to the MOR adult contemporary of Aiken, even if it's never quite as square as the cheerfully, defiantly bland Measure of a Man. Locke is a good singer, and she comes across better on record than either Clay or Ruben, never sounding as thin or strained as either singer. That may not be a fair comparison, however, since both had to rush out their albums in a matter of months while Locke was allowed to take her time, but regardless, she comes across well throughout the album, even outshining Aiken on their duet, "Without You." She also has some solid tunes here, particularly the opener, "8th World Wonder," and, in general, it's hookier than Measure of a Man, if not Thankful. The one problem with One Love is that even if the material is professionally written and produced, there isn't much that's outright memorable. Instead, it's a pleasant collection of background music, delivered with an appealing earnestness by Locke. While that might not make for the most noteworthy of albums, it is a nice listen, and Kimberley Locke acquits herself well with this goodnatured debut. - Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide |

Pros: Great Vocalist in Great Voice
Cons: A Little Too Much Sheen in the Production...
Just goes to show that 'winning' isn't everything. Each Idol contestant voted off, should be painfully aware that each week is an audition before millons for any number of job openings and to ALWAYS be on their best behavior. Kimberly wasn't Idol material, in the end, and didn't quite fit into their machinery.., but what a TALENT!! She proves that she's not going to be easily catergorized and in time will take her rightful place with all the Pop Divas. She's got the chops.., now to get first peek at some of those diva songs before the usual crop handpicks them. I pray she's a writer and also makes a little on the backend with her considerable talent.
A GREAT listen.., she'll touch you on the legendary, "I Can't Make You Love Me", my favorite outside of "8th World Wonder" in which she SANG her B-hind off.
STAY STRONG, FOCUSED and TRUTHFUL to the LYRIC, Kimberly. The song will take of you, if you pay attention to it.
Peace.
