    Suprized that no review mentions Sergio's other film "Once upon a time in the West" an equally great film that shares the same music. What a cast!! and great filmwork. Must be seen several times to really appreciate it all

    one movie i'll never forget! best acting performance (could have been the third oscar for De Niro), best supporting actors, best music (i cannot find the soundtrack, pls help!!)

    Very good movie. If you like movies about NYC of times past, this is the movie to see. This was Jennifer Connelly's first movie, starring as a child.

    This movie has many things going for it. The acting is very good, the score is outstanding, the set design is very good, and the length of 229 minutes doesn't seem long until you check your watch as the ending credits go by. Much of the credit ...of the impact of this movie belongs to both Loene, and DiNiro. I have seen this movie several times, and each time I see it I pick up another piece of plot that I missed the last. Read more Less

    This movie is one of the greatest movies made in it's time with great actors like Robert De Niro and James Woods. It's about 4 friends in the early 1900's and as they grow up in the 30's while prohibition they sell alchohol and make ...a living on it. it's truly a great epic and if you love Robert De Niro I strongly suggest you get your hands on this film.
