On the Waterfront
Pros: Brando!
Cons: Filmed long ago, sound is very poor quality.
Can you really go wrong with Brando? In my opinion, no! This movie achieved an inside look at what was going on in the shipyards of the time. You can't beat black and white movies with classic ledgends!

Truly one of the greatest movies ever made. This movie, along with "A Streetcar Named Desire" are examples of great (and mostly bygone) American cinema. I cannot emphasize the greatness of this film. One word of caution... if black and white, a great script, and great cinematography are not attributes that you usually seek in a film, then this film is not for you.

An alright movie, but not worthy of the hype. Marred by a bad ending and occasional overacting by Brando. Decent, but that's all.

No doubt about it, this is a great movie. I've been avoiding watching it for some reason. I guess I thought it would be too heavy. While it does deal with some depressing issues, they're handled in a way that works for audiences and (obviously) critics. A great cast and a great story. Highly recommended.

On The Waterfront is thrilling and up lifting. It comes down to one man standing up for what is right. Only Kazan could make a movie like this, and only Brando could fill the leads shoes. In the top 10 movies ever made, On the Waterfront shows us how movies should be made.- Joseph L. Cook

This is one movie when steam was coming out of there mouth form cold I felt cold when terry malloy got hit it hought i was in the movie, ifeltthe blows really a good story and wella cted by every one
