Pros: zoom and macro focus

Cons: overall quality, shutter lag, flash

What annoys me the most is the shutter lag. For example, if you want to capture a duck on a lake while using the maximum 18x zoom, until it shutts the duck has already left the view :D Other cons: - autofocusing. While I'm not a professional pho...tographer and I don't know how to apreciate the optimal distance and the zoom to get a perfect clear picture, sometimes by using autofocusing, even if you see that it is struggling to addapt the lenses (I say struggling because it's also very noisee, like they were some little beings inside it mooving the pieces :D) and the preview picture you see on the screen looks clear, on the computer you see that is not perfectly focused. - batteries: comparing with my previous 3x zoom compact camera, even if this uses 4 batteries instead of 2, you only get about 200 pics with a full charge and even less by using flash. - flash delay: it takes a lot more to shutt if you have the flash activated... - noise. Even if it has 8 Mp, the overall quality goes arround 5 because you must be very lucky to get a perfect picture at maximum resolution. So, counting also the price, for me wasn't a good investment and choosing it only for the 18X zoom doesn't make the difference. But, since I always like happy endings, maybe it was specially designed for underwater pictures, since it has this special option! Good luck! Read more Less
