    GREAT PRODUCT

By HARRY  Aug 7, 2007 | 6 out of 10 found this Olympus EVOLT E-410 review helpful

    Pros: Ease of use

Cons: XD card MUST be an Olympus

Easy to use. With the exception of the need to purchase a specific Olympus XD card for Panorama photos. Have been taking some GREAT photos with it. From small to extremely large.Resolution is GREAT!!!!

Great camera - does everythign I need & more

By Pagan  Feb 7, 2009 | 2 out of 2 found this Olympus EVOLT E-410 review helpful

Pros: Great battery life, fast & responsive, very controllable

Cons: Not got the worlds biggest range of lenses

This is the best camera I've ever owned, having started on SLR years ago and more recently been on digitial. This camera truly gives the best of both these worlds and I've had fantastic fun learning how to use it somewhere near fully. Photo...s easily blow up to A2 and still look great. I'd recommend this to anyone who is looking for a camera with 'point & shoot' as well as a combination of 'semi auto'options, plus of coure full manual control. A great all rounder. Read more Less

    Great small DSLR

By bigcoyote  Jan 10, 2009 | 2 out of 2 found this Olympus EVOLT E-410 review helpful

Pros: Very small, easy to take along, great photos - has all the toys of the "big" DSLR's

Cons: Requires a little adjusting to get the best photos

This is my first DSLR, my old camera was a Minolta Maxxim 7000i ( 35mm ). I love this camera - so far it has not let me down. The only thing I had to do was adjust the "noise" filter to get sharper photos( very easy to do). If you want a &q...uot;real" DSLR that is compact and can take great photos - this is the one!! Sweet Little Thing

By Dan  Apr 19, 2009 | 1 out of 1 found this Olympus EVOLT E-410 review helpful

    Pros: Size . . . bigger isn't always better . . .

    Cons: Image Stabilization

I did the research before buying my 410 kit . . . and the longer I use it, the happier I am with it. The kit lenses have surpassed my wildest expectations. I have learned to tweak the settings, often bypassing the noise elimination and filter (one ti...p among several that I picked up from an on-line forum). I bought it knowing full well that it lacked image stabilization, and I believe it has only cost me a few shots in the past year. With that in mind, my next body will be a 510 or 520 . . . but there will always be a place in my bag for my trusty 410. The programming seems intuitive to me. I did read the manual and watched the accompanying video, and that may have helped. Do your own research, but I would definitely buy my E-410 kit if I had to make the decision again today. Great Value and Easy To Use

    By Steve  Nov 23, 2009

Pros: Easy for the beginner to learn, Nice for advanced users to use.

Cons: Not as many features as a real advanced user might like

Overall I feel this camera is a GREAT value if you take the time to shop it out. I found the price range was nearly $125 from lowest to highest. Beginners can feel confident that their photos will look professional with a little time and practice. Be...ing my sixth SLR type camera and my third DSLR I like the "Live view" feature. Being able to see what your shooting without having to look through the view finder is a big plus. Just don't always trust what you see if you use another brand of lens with an adapter ring. The screen auto corrects for brightness. When you own several different cameras you can adapt other lenses to save quite a few dollars. This I don't recommend for the beginner. Image quality I feel is far superior to other brands of equal Mega Pixels. Olympus out did themselves on the E-volt lineup. That's why I own TWO of them. This one and now the E-30. For ease of use, Choose the 410, 420 or 520. All for under five Hundred dollars. This makes them all a great value as well as easy to learn shoot and use. Even the software for your computer, to upload your photos was easy to install and use. Be smart...Buy Olympus. You WILL NOT regret that choice. Read more Less

Hands down the best entry level Dig. SLR

    By Ian  Apr 11, 2009

    Pros: Durability, ease of use,

Cons: Requires an add on SD card for panorama shooting

his is my third Dig. SLR, having already gone through a Nikon D-40 and a similar cannon, and hands down the Olympus is superior to the other cameras. easy to use, great pictures, and the starter kit comes with two lenses, yet its still cheaper then t...he Cannon! Read more Less
