I recevied my Olympus D-100 2 weeks ago and have taken many great pics..This is the easies digital camera to shoot and download pics..You don't even have to download software to use it..Your computer reads it as a 2nd hard drive..Just click on my com...puter and star downloading your pics...As for batteries I'm still using the ones that came with the camera..I don't know why some of the reviewers say it eats batteries..They must not know how to opperate the camera... The battery problem is not an issue

Not all batteries created equal. Besides all digital cameras consume battery power like crazy. The factory battery lasts very long. Junk batteries do as much as you paid for it. Rechargeable batteries will save you money. However, this camera is not ...for industrial use. The inexpensive “Rayovac Maximum Alkaline” still lasts for a week if you taking three-four pictures a day. Use power adapter for reviews and practice. My new Brio is my third digital camera among eight cameras I own. I bought it because of its size and simplicity. The picture quality is perfect. I still use a Mavica for work; but it’s too heavy and large for family trips. The Olympus replacing my old DX-7 Fuji. Despite the features are similar on the comparable new Fuji and similar cameras the colors are better on the Olympus. The 1.3 MP resolution is not cutting edge technology. However, it is perfect for excellent quality small prints (4x6) and screen application. I don’t like to store “giant” image files. Besides those “HUGE MP” formats are useless in the WEB.Laslow Read more Less

    Olympus Camedia Brio D-100

Olympus's pocket-size Brio D-100 is light, easy to use, and elegantly designed.A compact size and solid, stylish design set the D-100 apart from most point-and-shoot digital cameras. It's also one of the smallest cameras we've reviewed--at only about 1.5 inches thick, it fits nicely into a shirt pocket. Its all-black body and gold accents make it especially nice looking.
