    Pros: Size, zoom, optics and build quality

    Cons: Battery life, lens speed, lower resolution than competition

    I came to the camera as an Olympus fan so I'm easy to please. I bought it for a recent trip to Vietnam and I'm not sorry. Some features annoyed me - slightly wobbly lens, main menu dial easily bumped to wrong setting (happens all the time), b...attery not seeing out the day before I could recharge it, useless memory card included (16 mb) and display almost unviewable in the sunlight (I now do all my shots through the eyepiece). But the image quality consistently exceeded my expectations and the 10x optical zoom was great for candid travel snaps. Some softness in the images - I think maybe through carelessness at high zoom (no tripod) but colours are amazingly true. I tossed up between this one and the more expensive 5060 and I still don't know if I made the right decision, but I've returned from Vietnam with enough really good shots to be satisfied I didn't waste my money.     It really has more improve than C-750, lighter weight, bigger size of the LCD screen, even the battery...... I really love it.

With its brushed-metal case and good-size buttons and dials, this model has a smooth, solid feel.
