A veteran bandleader, saxophonist, and drummer, Oliver Sain's accomplishments include discovering Fontella Bass and Bobby McClure in St. Louis, where he moved in 1960 from Dundee, Mississippi. Sain also helped launch Little Milton's career, as his first band featured Milton as lead vocalist. Sain has not had as much luck as a performer, with only one single, "Party Hearty," cracking the RB Top 20 in 1976. It was one of three songs Sain recorded for Abet from 1975 to 1977.
