Although Official Secrets Act formed in Leeds, England, it was move to London that was to help propel the band's momentum, earning them attention from the press and radio. The trio, Thomas Charge Burke (guitar, vocals), Alexander Dunlop Mackenzie (drums, vocals), and Lawrence James Diamond (bass, vocals) won plaudits from BBC DJs, such as Steve Lamacq, and were able to land some tracks on various compilations, such as the song "Snakes and Ladders."
