Cons: Songs get dull near the end of album.

MJ delivered the goods on this album. The man is flawless, the media always tries to discredit him but any album of his you listen to you know that he is the king. This was his first album and it was perfect. Only thing that turned me off were the so...ngs near the end, just seem way too dull. This was MJ's first solo album and it oozes quality in both singing and instrumentation. Tracks 1-5 are great (although I find the hugely popular "DSTYGE" repetitive & irritating) but what most ppl who praise this album neglect to mention is how awfu...l the rest of it is... the dullest ballad ever, a boring Stevie Wonder reject, a soppy mediocre duet, and some unpleasant raucous disco nonsense (shame on you Rod Temperton)and the worst track: Girlfriend...dull childish song without merit & the lyrics make me wince.Best track: Rock with you...brilliant structureflawless singing; there's nothing to dislike about it.Btw I think Jamiriquai (or however it's spelled)recently released a pastiche of this album called "Funk Odessey" although obviously sung with a phoney Stevie Wonder voice as usual.
