    This was the first album from Newcastle band Lighthouse Family and this album is just pure class. Each and every song is just wonderful, with tracks like 'Beautiful Night', 'Ocean Drive', 'The Way You Are', and the top 5 smash 'Lifted', this album p...roves to be one of the best albums I have listened to in recent years. With great string arrangements and the ever wonder silky voice of Tunde Baiyewu, you will not be disapointed with this album, it is well worth buying, well done Lighthouse Family, pure class Read more Less

    ok, this is definately my personal numer 1 debut album by any artist, anytime, anywhere!
    superb!
    although i have one question:
    why haven't we heard of them in the USA???? its strange cause they are so damn good! buy this now!

    The Lighthouse Family - a superbly uplifting band from Newcastle, UK. Underrated is a word often by media buffs to describe them...thats because they are! They have never had a number one...but richly deserve one. But that doesn't matter. Compared t...o the likes of Britney Spears, SClub7, Hanson, and cheesy boy bands you might be glad they don't. This album is for the mature listener who apprechiates music...teenyboppers beware! Every single track on this album is superbly written by Paul Tucker and the soulful vocals of Tunde Baiueux add a touch of class to this album. Their music is an interesting cross between pop, ballard and soul. The tracks range from the mello Ocean Drive (undoubtly the best song on the album), to Lifted, one of the most sing-alongable (if thats a word!) songs ever! You will love these songs if you are driving in the car, or layed in bed at home...perhaps its not the best album for a Saturday night out but it's a definate pick-me-up for any other time in your life. This album doesn't contain a bad song...satisfaction guranteed!!!...buy, buy, buy...and do it NOW! Read more Less
