Pros: lens, slim feature
Cons: ear socks, difficulty in spare for ear socks
i have owned an a-wire since 2002. as a pilot i have used it while flying. it's slim feature fits well into my HGU-55 flight helmet. even while on the road i used it. be it on my plane or while in my car the lens supresses the glare. it's style adapts well in any attire, be it in a formal wear or simply wearing jeans or while in an athletic uniform. the problem though i usually have to change the ear socks almost every two years; the rubber material usually disintegrates by then. there are tinges of corrosions usually near the ear socks but not as severe as in my previous sun glass. the spare support is usually a problem for me since i reside in the philippines. i haven't tried yet ordering by mail the spare support; however, getting it through the domestic eyes glass center (executive optical shop) may be cheap than thru the post. as of late, the domestic eye shop said that spares for the ear socks may be a problem since there is difficulty in the ear socks market availability. if my resources could still afford it i would surely want another a-wire (a matte gray/silver frame with black lens) ...
