Formed in Downers Grove, IL, November's Doom first gained success not in its local environs but in Europe. In 1992, while the band was still in its infancy, November's Doom signed a recording contract with Italy's Regress Records. A demo consisting of two songs led to the band recording its debut album in 1994. Amid Its Hallowed Mirth was released in 1995 and earned praise for its hard rock and heavy metalorchestrated sound.
