Synopsis: North Country (2005)

When Josey Aimes returns to her hometown in Northern Minnesota after a failed marriage, she needs a good job.     Pros: Great casting, strong story

    So hard to believe this storyline actually happened less than twenty years ago...truly appalling. Charlize Theron portrayed her part flawlessly and the movie was careful not to man-bash so its definitely not a chick-flick. The assault and rape scene...s were hard to watch but the end of the movie made me want to stand up and cheer for all the women out there who paved the way so that we can go to work and not have to worry about being sexually harrassed. Francis McDormand was absolutely incredible in the movie and the entire cast was perfectly put together to make the movie very believable. I laughed, I cried, Id see it again. Read more Less
