No One Cares
, July 25, 2002Reviewer: frank - See all frank's reviews1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this No One Cares (Remastered) review helpful My choice for the best album Sinatra made with Gordon Jenkins. This is a terrific collection of songs and Jenkin's arrangements are more restrained than usual. The rendition of "A Cottage for Sale" is as good as it gets. It's got a great album cover too. -

Pro Reviews: No One Cares (Remastered)
| EXPERT RATING: From AMG Reviews Frank Sinatra's second set of torch songs recorded with Gordon Jenkins, No One Cares was nearly as good as its predecessor, Where Are You? Expanding the melancholy tone of the duo's previous collaboration, No One Cares consists of nothing but brooding, lonely songs. Jenkins gives the songs a subtley tragic treatment, and Sinatra responds with a wrenching performance. It lacks the grandiose melancholy of Only the Lonely, nor is it as lsuh as Where Are You?, but in its slow, bluesly tempos and heartbreaking little flourishes, it is every bit moving. - Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide |
